The Coffee Academics Flagship store is located right at the heart of Singapore Shopping District @ Scott Square. Expect queue of up to 50 mins if you did not make a prior reservation. Dine-in customers are also subjected to time limit of 60 mins.
Personally I’m a fan of Eggs Benedict , so naturally I had to order this. Instead of traditional Canadian bacon, i’ve seen cafes topping it with smoked salmon for the additional flavour to savour with the rich hollandaise.
The salmon and muffin were just right, to my liking. I felt that the hollandaise could be a little more on the savoury side. The poach eggs were also nicely done, with the right amount of liquid yolk to mix with the dish.
Every cafe or coffee place will have their own signature big breakfast of some sort, usually a platter of breakfast items such as sausage, bacon, sauteed mushrooms, toasts and eggs. If you’re fan of sweet bacon (i.e honey or maple paired), butter toast aka Brioche and truffle, you will not want to give this a miss.
As a coffee connoisseur, they do carry their own line of coffee equipments and roast.
