A local peranakan restaurant serving authentic flavours in Katong district
SINPOPO Nasi Lemak ($28)

We were around the area when we decided to grab dinner nearby. It seems like this restaurant had a great review so we decided to gave it a shot. I was quite fascinated by their menu items especially with the likes of local flavours and concoction such as the milo dinosaur shake gula melaka shake and horlicks peng sinpopo style.

Milo Dino Shake ($8)
Katong Jelly ($7)

We ordered the SINPOPO’s nasi lemak set for 2 @$28. I would agree it’s a tad expensive but variety of each dish makes it worth it. Each set comes with free flow coconut rice to satisfy your insatiable hunger.

The 6 items that were part of this set were potatoes & curry, prawn paste chicken, pork belly marinated in red fermented bean curd, luncheon crisp, traditional Rojak and sambal sotong ball.

The luncheon crisp was my favourite as i thought it was quite a novel way of making luncheon meat. Come to think of it, this would actually give you the complete singaporean meal experience.
