RIGA | LATVIA's Capital
Weekend trips to Baltic states are very popular as they can easily reach via ferry service from Tallink. We left work slightly earlier to catch the ferry at 5 PM on a friday night. The view was pretty nice, perhaps due to the fact it was my first cruise trip. The cruise was 7 storeys high, had a few bars and restaurants onboard. The cabin was just nice for 4 pax. The bed can be retracted to make more space. We went shopping for some alcohol and chocolates.
RIGA Cathedral
As you proceed towards the city centre, you will come across the majestic Riga Cathedral. It is one o the oldest medieval buildings in Riga and the largest church in the Baltics.
House of Blackheads
Also right in the middle of Riga Old Town, this landmark known as 'house of blackheads' is something you will not miss! The bright orange design and its unique architecture will draw you for a closer look.
Riga Central Market
The guide took us to the central market which were constructed using 5 Zeppelin hangers. Such unique structure made it one of the most popular places to visit and has made its way to UNESCO heritage site. Market was pretty huge and sold all sorts of things - fruits, cakes, spices anything.
