Trip to India

Had a working trip to India and visited Mumbai and Pune. Pune is a city approximate 3 hrs drive from Mumbai and has a pretty nice weather. Getting around is easy with Uber or Ola. Although most people there speaks Hindi, you can get around just fine using Google Maps.

If you're a sucker for Indian cuisine like me, you'll enjoy the variety of amazing food here including desserts such as gulab jamun.

Cafe Leopold

Cafe Leopold is one of the popular bar and restaurant in Mumbai, India. The place has been a tourist hot spot but now with even more Indians to commemorate the spirit of defiance after the Mumbai attack in 2008. Some of the damage such as bullet holes are still left intact to act to serve as a memorial.

Gateway of India

We headed down to The Gateway of India, an arch monument located next to the taj hotel and close to Cafe Leopold. It is said that the last troop of British army left India through this gateway.

Chor Bazaar

We went to a flea market in a bid to search for souveniers to bring back home but I didnt managed to find something although the variety of goods is pretty wide. You can also find food carts around selling snacks and quick bites.
Interesting fact: 'Chor' means thief in Hindi. So Chor Bazaar actually means thief bazaar. It is said that illegal and stolen goods found their way into the flea market over time hence the nickname Chor Bazaar.
