La Sagrada Familia
We had planned a trip to Spain as part of our grad trip. We stayed at Hostel Sun and Moon which is a mixed dorm room with 8 bunks beds located in the city center - Liceu Metro station. The price was reasonable and location was great except it was the first time that I had stayed in a hostel so probably the expectation was slightly higher. I never liked sharing my rooms with strangers and pretty much got used to the comfort of Airbnb. That being said, we rarely spend time in the hostel so it was okay.
We visited quite few places. One of the highlight is the famed gothic church Sagrada Familia designed by Catalan Architect, Antoni Gaudi. It is an unfinished Roman Catholic Church and is estimated to be completed by 2026. The stained glasses were really mesmerizing when viewed from the inside as different shades of coloured lights shone though the dark atmosphere within the Church.
You may book the tickets online to skip the queue at https://www.barcelonacard.org/tickets/sagrada-familia/ It costs around 15 euros per ticket
La Barceloneta Beach
We took a bus to visit La Barceloneta Beach for take a stroll since its summer time. A lot of folks are taking the opportunity to sunbathe in the soaring heat (yes you can expect ladies to bare their top to avoid tan lines so don't be surprised, its actually a pretty normal thing). The entire atmosphere felt lively with people playing some sports, families building sandcastles and some swimming. You can also see W hotel standing out at the end of the beach.
Outlet Shopping @ La Roca Village
Head over to La Roca Village for a outlet shopping experience with over 140 brands! There is a bus service (costs 15 euros, two-way) which will take you to village from the city. We spend almost a day there and hauled quite a few items from LEVIS, Ralph Lauren and such.

La Colonia guell
Took a short trip to La Colonia Güell to visit Gaudi's Crypt and experience the atmosphere of 19th Century Catalan heritage. Most of buildings are set in iconic orange bricks to display Catalan folk architecture. Take a stroll through the town to visit the administrator's home, school, teacher's house so on and so forth. It was a pretty lazy for us. We ended up sitting by the playground and spend a good 2 hours chit chatting about random stuff.
